Tressa’s new coat!

So after much debate I finally bought my winter coat. I really surprised myself by going with the black Elroy coat in the end. I personally don’t own a tonne of black, but I decided maybe I should have a solid black wool coat. This Elroy jacket is amazing, not only is it made with recycled material its super cute too. The sleeves are nice and big so I can fit a sweater or blazer under it, and the waist is nicely highlighted with a tie belt. Oh yes, and the pockets are HUGE! Which is really important, they can hold an entire lunch including my banana. All in all I would have to say that this is officially my new favorite coat. Thank you Elroy for giving girls like me a reason to go out in the cold.

…..if you don’t have your favorite winter coat yet, come on down to Meese and find it…..

Sustainable Clothing Solutions

Sustainable Clothing and sustainable fashion supports and nourishes the earth and the lives of all people involved in the processes of growing, manufacturing and distributing the clothing. It is governed by principles such as reuse and recycling, organic fibers, free trade worker conditions, and animal welfare — practices that are ethical and reduce the Carbon footprint of the consumer and the adverse impact on the environment.

  • Bamboo Fiber
a very soft fiber that thrives naturally without the use of pesticides or fertilizers. The fibre is 100% biodegradable.
  • EcoSpun
recycled polyester fiber from recycled plastic pop bottles
  • Fair Trade Clothing
clothing made by businesses that have a commitment to social justice in which employees and farmers are treated and paid fairly, sustainable environmental practices are followed, and long-term trade relationships are fostered.

  • Organic Cotton Fiber

    Fashion Week has started!

Last night with Meese crew in tow (even through my ear/vertigo troubles) we attended the kick-off to Edmonton’s Fashion Week.  The show was featuring the new graduates from Marvel College. ( which I had the pleasure of meeting and teaching them draping earlier this year )

Every year Marvel College puts out an awesome variety of talented designers, and as always we were very impressed with the collections, and fit of the garments.  Great music, beautiful hair and make-up, and fantastic models.  What a grande way to start off Fashion Week.  So keep your eyes on these new budding designers…. we are sure to see them in the future.
