Our Meese’s Pieces page is back up to date! Or at least, mostly up to date. We’ve already made some new Sessa tops and dresses that worked their way to Meese on 124 before I could snap a picture of them, so you’ll have to come in if you want to check them out. There will be another update again soon, as I hear Frank Lyman and Broken Doll are on their way!!

Meese has just received some lovely tops and dresses from Dagg and Stacey! They’re just beautiful, and all the pieces are either silk or tencel, so they feel great too!
Have you RSVP’d to the Preloved party yet? It’s this Friday at meese St. Albert! We’re not putting out the pieces until the party, but I got a sneak peak today. The most exciting thing? Preloved has added an extra-large, so I was actually able to fit into two style of knit dresses and tops! (they also added an extra-small, so our smaller ladies are covered too) This dress/tunic was my favourite. It has pockets, and you could wear it now with leggings or jeans, and probably get away without them when it gets hot.
There are tons (5 boxes worth) of great pieces, and you should definitely take advantage of a chance to get first picks because they aren’t going to last long!

we are sooooo lucky to have great neighbours in the new neighbourhood! We have been enjoying the amazing food ( numchok wilai is my favorite new eats!! ), inspiring atmosphere, and delightful people we have met. Some of these delightful people include the owners and staff of Mousy Browns! We were tickled pink when their editorial stylist ( Cassie ) chose to feature some of our fantastic designers for their seasonal photoshoot. Great news for fans of Frank Lyman: We just got a huge shipment in today (15 different styles, we had to clear off a rack just to hold it all), and it’s full of dresses, tops, and skirts perfect for holiday parties. I had the best try-on party! There’s so many pieces I want, but I can’t buy them all just yet, so this little green sweater is my pick to come home with me today. It’s so soft, the knit isn’t bulky, and I was in serious need of some more colour in my fall closet.
PS> The gold necklace I have on in this picture is from a new-to-Meese jewelry line called Uranium that just arrived as well, but our camera battery is recharging, so you’ll have to wait or come down to Meese to see it all!

We have been busy bees working away between the two shops, and boy-o-boy has it ever been BUSY!! Thanks to everyone for their continued support of Meese in Saint Albert, and we look forward to building new relationships in Edmonton at Meese on 124th. ( Meese on 124, 10240 124st, unit 006 ) Soon our website will be up-dated with all of our fabulous designers so you can shop both locations at once!! Once you click on the ‘Meese’s Pieces’ button on the top header it will take you to a gallery with buttons to all your favorite local, and national Canadian labels. Test it today, we have a few labels up already. But stay tuned because Kim and I are fixing up the ol’ website tomorrow, and I have a feeling there will be a treasure on there for everyone….
Meese Clothing is holding our 4th annual ‘ Fall Forward ‘ fashion show at our store in St. Albert on Tuesday August 24th at 7 pm. Home to our house label Sessa Wearables, we continue to carry 100% Canadian designed and manufactured fashionable Clothing and accessories for women, and men.
Seating will start at 6pm, 6:30pm refreshments, and fashion show to start at 7pm. The show will feature all of our NEW fall/winter clothing!!! This means the first looks, and also
the first sizes from all of your favorite Canadian designers. The location of the show is outside of our boutique, beside the picturesque Sturgeon River under white tenting.
There will be great food, tasty refreshments, prizes, and fantastic new fall/winter pieces from our 45 Canadian designers. ( and a few new designers to Meese debuting that evening ) . This year we are accepting food donations for the Food Bank for the duration of the Fashion Show.

Sessa Wearables Fall/Winter ‘10
Meet Sian! She is our featured artist for July. Come on down to Meese Thursday July 8th and have an opportunity to meet her and chat amongst her lovely pieces. Sian will be here from 6pm until 9pm.
Sian Ramsden, born in Guernsey, UK and raised in St. Albert, is a multi-disciplinary artist now based in Calgary. She studied Fine Art at Grant MacEwan and recently received a BFA in Sculpture from the Alberta College of Art + Design. (She also loves Meese)
p.s. Sian and her B.F.F. Chantal also bake the most wonderful cookies known to mankind, so come on down Thursday evening to enjoy the Artwalk and devour the treats
