Hats off to Summer

With summer finally here, it’s time to start thinking about protecting yourself from the sun.  These hats from Canadian Hat will do just that, plus they are stylish enough to wear to an outdoor wedding or about town.  So much better than borrowing one from dad.

Flora and Fauna arrivals

…. today we were super pumped to get our Flora and Fauna pieces in!! This is our second season carrying the line, and we must say we LOVE it! ( and so do our customers! ) Flora and Fauna is earthy, sporty, comfy…

Drawing inspiration from beauty in nature, the irresistible cuteness of animals, and the intricacy of the planet’s delicate eco-system, all of flora&fauna’s pieces reflect Pauline’s deep love for the natural beauty in our world. With a blend of clean lines, rich colours, and lasting style, flora&fauna incorporates nature and animal themes into each design, and is proud to support local animal welfare and nature conservation organizations.

All of flora&fauna’s pieces are locally, ethically, and sustainably made.

Birds of North America flies into Meese

We absolutely love getting new deliveries at Meese! Today’s surprise was getting J’Adore as well as Birds of North America. Here are some awesome pics of the new Birds of North America pieces….

The pieces are so amazing, trust us, we haven’t even finished unpacking everything and we already sold a ‘Plover Dress’ while it was being steamed…

( the ‘Plover Dress’ is the navy blue one with the white buttons on the shoulder, pictured last, oh so sweet! )

Canada Rulz!

Last night was amazing for us Canadians, there was not a dry eye in our house. Firstly winning the hockey game against Russia ( which we all knew was much needed after the game on sunday ), then to go on and win 4 more medals. It was incredible for Canada, from East to West.

~ Clara Hughes setting a track record in women’s 5,000 metres speed skating at the Richmond Oval. Hughes skated in six minutes 55.73 seconds

~ short track speed skating, Canada’s four-skater team of Kalyna Roberge, Tania Vicent, Marianne St.-Gelais and Jessica Gregg appeared to have won bronze. But the South Korean team, which crossed the finish line first, was disqualified bumping China to gold and Canada to silver.

~ Canada clinched gold and silver in women’s bobsleigh. The golden pair of Kallie Humphries and Heather Moyse led throughout all four runs and comfortably won the Olympic title. Helen Upperton and Shelley-Ann Brown edged their way slowly up the ranking throughout the four runs and saved their best for the last run to gain a silver.
