The designers trunk show will be from 1 - 4pm, there will be loads of never seen before garments, one offs, and even samples for sale. Meese will be open April 3rd from 10 - 5pm, and will be serving snacks and cupcakes all day.

We absolutely love getting new deliveries at Meese! Today’s surprise was getting J’Adore as well as Birds of North America. Here are some awesome pics of the new Birds of North America pieces….

The pieces are so amazing, trust us, we haven’t even finished unpacking everything and we already sold a ‘Plover Dress’ while it was being steamed…

( the ‘Plover Dress’ is the navy blue one with the white buttons on the shoulder, pictured last, oh so sweet! )

Last night was amazing for us Canadians, there was not a dry eye in our house. Firstly winning the hockey game against Russia ( which we all knew was much needed after the game on sunday ), then to go on and win 4 more medals. It was incredible for Canada, from East to West.

~ Clara Hughes setting a track record in women’s 5,000 metres speed skating at the Richmond Oval. Hughes skated in six minutes 55.73 seconds

~ short track speed skating, Canada’s four-skater team of Kalyna Roberge, Tania Vicent, Marianne St.-Gelais and Jessica Gregg appeared to have won bronze. But the South Korean team, which crossed the finish line first, was disqualified bumping China to gold and Canada to silver.

~ Canada clinched gold and silver in women’s bobsleigh. The golden pair of Kallie Humphries and Heather Moyse led throughout all four runs and comfortably won the Olympic title. Helen Upperton and Shelley-Ann Brown edged their way slowly up the ranking throughout the four runs and saved their best for the last run to gain a silver.

The last 48 hours at Meese have been quite crazy. Cleaning, unpacking all our clothes, dusting, tagging, a little dancing on the new floor, more dusting, building, unpacking more clothes, and even more dusting. Tonight as we left we had a long look at our little boutique and really appreciated all that it is. We have had the space for nearly three years and it is definitely a highlight in our lives, we have grown with it and love Meese dearly….. and at last Meese is on the brink of re-opening. Being closed for almost 10 days has been a lot to adjust to, not being able to enjoy all of our Meeses pieces from our great designers, and missing all of our wonderful customers . Tomorrow we will have one last day of clean-up ( because the dust just keeps-a-comin ), do the final finesse, and mark all the SALES throughout the store. Then thursday Meese Clothing will be back in business! We have 60 NEW Sessa Wearables spring pieces for the store: skirts, dresses and tonnes of tops. We also have new jewelry from ‘Kiko’ ( Edmonton ) and ‘Wine on Sundays’ ( Ottawa ) and Salgado Fenwick has dropped off a few ladies tees and a bunch of mens tees as well.

We would like to thank everyone for another GREAT year at Meese!  With all your support this year we were able to expand our boutique and have a second St.Albert studio space for our house line SESSA Wearables.  We have many pictures to post with some of our fabulous designers, pieces, art, customers and staff…so stay tuned!  With the New Year we will be adjusting our January store hours slightly to give us a tad more time in our new studio to produce all of our lovely SESSA Wearables spring/summer collection.  Also, we know that there are still Holiday parties happening and yes we have 2 dresses left to unveil…how exciting!

WOW!! Dress #2 didn’t even make it to the web site… so sorry. There were only 2 of them and they sold today. So congrats to you 2 lucky ladies! ( you know who you are ) Now we are moving on to Dress #3, which is so very beautiful. Here it is on Alexa at Edmonton Fashion Week. It is vintage inspired with an asymmetrical hemline. We only have a size 4 of this one, but we do have enough fabric to make a few more ( special requests only ) . If your in love with this one, I recommend getting in quick before this little beauty walks itself right outta here.

So I have really been slacking ( I know I am not the only one ) on my Christmas shopping until last night. I was talking with one of our customers and she said something that really resonated with me
