We have big changes in the New Year with Meese and Sessa Wearables! With much thought and consideration we have decided to close our Meese 124 location. Many situations/issues came into play before deciding to do this. In the last few months we have experienced personal health issues, recent limited support/sales with us entering sequential recessions, and added demand for the in-house label. We have been approached repeatedly with the option to leave our 124th street space early, as new businesses loved our renovated space. So with these issues the two of us finally decided to take the early release of our lease and leave for the New Year. Feeling that everything happens for a reason, and this was a sign for us to re-focus on things.
One of the great things we are going to re-focus on is Tressa’s SESSA Wearables line! After a recent ’selling’ adventure with her line, Tressa had great responses from stores which encouraged this change. Managing two stores and staff has taken her away from her designing time greatly, and she is overly excited to get back into her line and expand on that aspect as an artist. In the New Year we are also going to have better/longer hours in St.Albert so everyone can still come and get amazing 100% Canadian clothing and treasures. (On the new Anthony Henday, its a quick drive to our Flagship.) With this great change, Tressa won’t feel so torn between the two shops and will be able to really focus on giving every individual customer the best personal shopping/styling experience available - everyday.
The 124th Street experience was great for all of us at Meese!! it was great Meeting amazing new people every day while enjoying the great food, shops, and galleries that surrounded us. We hope all of our new Edmonton shoppers will make the quick trip to see us in St.Albert, and enjoy all the awesome amenities our downtown has to offer. As a token of our appreciation any purchase (over $60) made at 124 between now and Dec 28th will receive a $15 GC to use at Meese - St Albert after Jan 1st (expires end of March). Limited one per customer.
Our last day will be December 28th, we will be closing at 5pm and packing up everything to take to our Flagship St.Albert store.
Come celebrate our ‘change’ for the New Year! Both stores will be open until the 23rd of Dec. with everything at least 20% off. (Stay tuned for BIG sales the week before Christmas)
We will be closed for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
And will re-open both shops on the 26th for our huge BOXING DAY SALE!!
As well we are revamping our website in the New Year to make shopping with us at Meese even easier!!
p.s. All Gift Certificates, Store Credits, and exchanges (within time of receipt and exchange policy) can be used at either store until the 28th, and will be excepted at the St.Albert location in the New Year.

We received the rest of our shipment of jeans. I have been busy all morning trying them on and salivating over them all. My surprise favorite is the High rise ’straight’ leg in Recycled! Who knew? Certainly not me, since I am not really a ‘brown’ girl. I tried them on last and actually fell in love with them….. hopefully I will have a chance to get my little hands on a pair this time before we sell out.
